A Payment Facilitator (PayFac) is a service provider that enables businesses (sub-merchants) to accept electronic payments without needing to establish their own direct merchant account with a bank or payment processor. The PayFac manages onboarding, compliance, underwriting, and transaction processing on behalf of its sub-merchants, simplifying and accelerating the payment acceptance process. In our integration model, once a PayFac is registered in our system, we are able to send transactions to the PayFac in real time via webhooks. This ensures seamless transaction communication and processing. Additionally, PayFac partners can later configure and manage their own outbound webhooks to receive event notifications and transaction updates as needed.
